In 2021, Ashtrom International, through its subsidiary Ashtrom BV, completed a state-of-the-art hospital in Lusaka. Under an EPC + F contract with Zambia's government , the company completed the entire project lifecycle, from facilitating the capital, through planning, procurement and construction.

Hospital in Zambia: From Planning to Completion

The hospital provides a full spectrum of healthcare services, including emergency care, inpatient treatment, imaging, and intensive care units. It also features specialized departments such as pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, dialysis, and orthopedic rehabilitation with a therapeutic pool. 

Additional amenities include operating theaters, a blood bank, pharmacies, staff housing, a sterilization facility, and a bio-waste treatment center. Ancillary services like a central kitchen, laundry rooms, a chapel, maintenance areas, an energy center, and a medical oxygen production facility.  

The complex adheres to stringent international standards, featuring a BMS system and advanced electromechanical systems. It was fully equipped with all necessary medical and operational equipment to ensure smooth functionality. Additionally, a comprehensive training program was conducted to familiarize staff with the operation of the equipment.
